Having the ability to write about art is a crucial piece of being a strong artist. With this in mind, my Photography teacher assigns us subjects to investigate through blogs. On my AP Art blog you can find posts that analyze topics & other artist's work, provide information about PVHS Photo Club, reflect on my own work, give tips on various techniques, and more.
The fourth level of photography class is Advanced Placement Art and Design. This means that AP Art students spend their year putting together a portfolio to be graded by the College Board in May. There are a few pieces that go into the AP Portfolio, one part called Sustained Investigation. The Sustained Investigation section is comprised of 15 pieces that demonstrate a continued theme through practice, experimentation, and revision. The Sustained Investigation section of the AP Portfolio is basically my Long Term project "Reconstruction" from Photo 3. My current project includes 11 images, so I need to shoot at least four more images to complete the Sustained Investigation in preparation for submission of my AP Portfolio in May.
